NSS-11
High-powered Ku-band satellite for Asia

From the 108.2° East orbital position, NSS-11 provides high-powered Ku-band coverage of China, Korea, Japan, the Philippines, South Asia, and parts of the Middle East, with comprehensive coverage of two of the world’s fastest growing markets -- China and India.

NSS-11’s China beam encompasses the whole of the country, along with Mongolia, most of Kazakhstan, Northern Vietnam, and all of Central Asia. The South Asia beam provides comprehensive coverage of India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and select countries in Central Asia and the Middle East. The Northeast Asia beam reaches half of China, as well as Korea, Japan, Taiwan and the Philippines.

NSS-11 enables a full range of media and data applications, from direct-to-home television broadcast to government communications and VSAT networks. The satellite is currently home to a number of Chinese-, Indian- and Korean-language television channels and pay-TV platforms, and supports an estimated 40,000 VSAT terminals in India.
