NSS-5 has been replaced early by the recently launched NSS-9 satellite. NSS-9 is an all C-band satellite at 183º East, serving as SES NEW SKIES' principal connectivity satellite for the Pacific Ocean Region. The availability of NSS-9, enables NSS-5 to be reployed to a new orbital position within the SES NEW SKIES global fleet.
